Recreational Vehicle Shipping
Recreational vehicles, or RV’s, are some of the largest vehicles that we can provide vehicle shipping services for. They’re unique in that they’re an entire home on wheels, and as such they can be difficult to ship if you’re inexperienced or have never had to. Some people might not see the point – isn’t an RV meant to be driven? While the answer, of course, is yes, sometimes you don’t want to put all that mileage on your RV, especially if you’re planning on using it a lot in the years to come. So you need to ship it.
And that’s where we come in. Recreational vehicle shipping is anything but easy, but we work hard to make sure that you get the best RV shipping quotes for your needs. It starts with a quote, and when you fill out our free online quote form or call us for a free quote we ask that you have all the dimensions of your recreational vehicle on-hand, in case we need it (and for recreational vehicles we most likely will). The dimensions go a long way to determining your overall car transport rates.
Different factors go into your shipping rate than just the dimensions, though. If you’re looking for guaranteed car transport services, we can definitely help with that, but they’re probably going to cost a lot more. A lot of people who are shipping recreational vehicles tend to need them within a specific time frame, so if you’re shipping one please call us at least two weeks ahead of time. Most vehicles we only need about a week’s turnaround time, but with recreational vehicle shipping we need to use a flatbed auto transport carrier, and those can be a bit harder to find.
Recreational vehicles are larger than the average vehicle, as you well know, but one of the main drawbacks of their size is that they can’t fit on standard auto transport carriers, and as such need to be shipped on a flatbed transport truck that handles oversize freight. This is mostly due to their length and height; their length makes it impossible for them to fit on a standard carrier and their height, even on the top rack, would be too high for most underpass clearances and could end up damaging your vehicle, which is never a good thing.
Like we mentioned, you can fill out our free online car transport quote request form to get a free RV shipping quote in your e-mail, or you can go ahead and call us directly at our toll-free number and speak to one of our live vehicle transport representatives. Our agents are some of the best in the industry and they understand what it takes to ship any type of vehicle. Whether you’re looking for transport for a small car, a large pickup truck, or an RV, we can get you free quotes to ship it from anywhere, to anywhere in the U.S.
